||Tadashi x Reader||Sweet reunion||

~~Three months ago~~

You entered the Lucky Cat Café, not at all looking for food. Instead, you were on a mission to find Hiro Hamada and his older brother, Tadashi, who had called you while you were sleeping. This better be very important.  "Hiroooooo... Tadashiiiiii..." You looked around the upstairs apartment. "Up here, [Y/N]!" You heard Tadashi's excited voice from the bedroom him and Hiro shared. You mouthed an 'Oh no' to yourself before entering the room.

The younger Hamada was the first to capture you in a hug, before the older one joined in, squeezing you both. You giggled a bit and hugged back. "Why'd you call me over?" You asked Tadashi. Tadashi grinned at you and pulled away, leading you to his bed so you could sit down. You happily sat down on the soft bed and watched as he pulled out a little red and white box-ish figure.

"[Y/N], my I present to you" He motioned to the little object. "Baymax!" Hiro muttered an 'ow' and a huge, white puffy thing started inflating. Even though it was slow, you sat there, mouth slightly gapping, staring in awe. When it was fully inflated, it waved to you. "Hello. I am Baymax, your personal health care companion."  Baymax, the walking marshmallow, turned to Hiro. "I heard a sound of pain. On a scale of one to ten, how would you rate your pain?""Zero." Hiro stated with a toothy grin, showing the little gap between his teeth.

Tadashi grinned at the site of your awed face. He loved impressing you.

You stood up to get a better look at Baymax. "Woah," was all you could get out. Tadashi chuckled a bit. "You like him?" You nodded. "He's amazing Tadashi!" You giggled and hugged Tadashi. "Amazing work, as always!" Tadashi softly smiled and hugged you back. He loved hearing that from you. Everytime he made something new or updated something, he would call you over so you could see it. Even if it wasn't the best, you would still give him that encouragement he needed to keep trying. You were so supportive. He loved that about you.

He loved you.

Of course, you had no clue. It was like you and Hiro were the only ones in San Francisco that didn't know. His whole team at 'Nerd School' teased him about it all the time, but he didn't care. In fact, he liked it. It kept you on his mind all day, even though the first time he had met you it was like you were glued to his mind.

"Hey, Tadashi?" You poked his head. "Mr. Hamada? Halloooooo?" Tadashi, not realizing he was staring, blinked and blushed a bit. You laughed slightly at how cute he was. Giving him another tight squeeze, you smiled. To you, it would be impossible to live without seeing his dorky smile.

It would be impossible to live without him.

~Present Day~

That was three months ago. Just three months ago, you were laughing, hugging Tadashi, and now he was gone. A fire had killed Tadashi. Taken him away. Your best friend since age five. Your only friend. Your only protector. The fire took him.

And along with him, it took your world.

Despite all that, you stayed strong, for Aunt Cass and Hiro. They greatly appreciated it, you knew that. But, you would still cry yourself to sleep. You would still mourn. Just... not while around his family. You stayed strong for them. Alone, you couldn't keep it together. You had visited his grave every day you weren't with Aunt Cass and Hiro. You were broken with Tadashi.

Today, you were again, at his grave, sobbing. It was (ironically) raining today, but you didn't bother to bring a umbrella or jacket. You just hugged your knees to your chest and continued crying. How could the world do this to you?

After about an hour or so of crying, your eye lids began to drop, a normal trait of yours when you cry. You were too cold to stand up, so you just sat there, in the rain, sopping wet, freezing, and fell asleep.

You woke up to warmth, surprisingly. You quickly realized you were no longer at Tadashi's grave, making you a little more cautious. Who had brought you here? It certainly wasn't the café, more of an old abandoned building.

"Oh, thank lord you're awake..." You heard a familiar voice say. Thinking it was too good to be true, you just sat there. Seeing you weren't going to respond, the voice started talking again. "Did you not miss me or what?" You could practically hear the grin on his face. Looking up, you gasped as you saw the face of your savior.
"T-Tadashi?!" You bolted up and tackled the raven haired boy in a hug. Tadashi laughed at your reaction, hugging back. "The reaction was kinda delayed, but that's okay." You swore you were grinning like a fool. "I can't believe you're alive! How'd you escape?! Where have you been?!" At this point, your voice had a pained tone to it. "Why didn't you come tell us you were alive?!" Tadashi could tell you were more sad than angry at him, so he rubbed your back in an attempt to comfort you.

"I had survived, but I was badly burned... I had to heal myself, but I'm better." He bit his lip. "...I just couldn't come back [Y/N]... I couldn't yet. You have to understand..." He pleaded. Sighing, you hugged him tighter. "Just... please, tell me why..." Tadashi quickly nodded. "I wanted to be healed when I came back so I wouldn't be making you guys worry. And guess what?" He gave you that dorky grin of his. "I'm coming back tomorrow." You smiled at this. He would be coming back. You knew it. No more trying to convince yourself. You knew it.

"Don't tell Hiro and Aunt Cass though. I want it to be a surprise!" He ruffled your hair and you laughed. "You and your surprises, Tadashi." Tadashi laughed a bit and stopped, suddenly looking serious. This worried you a bit. "[Y/N], I have something I need to tell you..." You slightly frowned and nodded.

Tadashi bit his lip once again. After a bit of silence, he took a deep breath. "...I've liked you for so long, [Y/N]. Not in a friend way, I like like you. I know I sound like a child saying this, but I'm one hundred percent serious about this. You are the most wonderful, caring, sweetest, humble, beautifulest, good hearted girl I've ever met in my entire lifetime." He took your hands in his gingerly. "I love you, [Y/N]... Always have, always will."

Not being able to say anything, you just did the first thing that came to mind; Kiss him. Your lips connected with his, taking him by surprise. He relaxed a little bit before kissing back happily. After a bit, he pulled away from the sweet kiss, grinning like a fool. "So, that means you like me back?"

You giggled and nodded, pulling him into another hug. "Of course I do, you dork..." Tadashi chuckled and kissed your head, wrapping his arms around your waist. "Good, otherwise I would be crying when I  came home tomorrow." He slightly chuckled. You cuddled into his chest and sighed happily as he stroked your hair.

You finally had Tadashi back. You had your world back. Your life could finally go back to the way it was.

Who would've thought the dork you had befriended when you were five would become your boyfriend?
